I am so excited to share this special birthday commission I created for my dear Calgary friend, Kathleen. Her hubby, Terry, contacted me back in mid-February to see if I'd be interested in doing a hand-lettered lino print with the phrase "You are my joy" in Kath's favourite colours: yellow and silver.
After a few rounds of brush pen work (above), we settled on the final style and layout. Then, with some patience and a steady hand, I carefully carved the two 12" x 12" linos.
